I was speaking with a client recently and the main concern they expressed was:
Losing progress with their health & fitness results in having a slight change in their routine and eating a few more treats than normal.
I get it easter holidays can usually mean:
- More chocolate
- Family commitments
- Time off workโฆโฆ
Why shouldnโt you allow yourself a few extra treats without having that worry & guilt attached to it?
Is it really a ๐ฃ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐๐ in the first place that you are allowing yourself to enjoy life and having those treats when you choose to?
If your answer is yes, well thatโs a discussion for another time.
Yet, I am guessing most of you the answer is NO, so in which case I invite you to give yourself a break, life is for living & enjoying at the end of the day.
In the big picture of things with your health & fitness having a few days of extra treats will not negatively impact your health & fitness progress
Of courseโฆ..
If you allow your mind to convince yourself that youโre a failure it leads to a sense of blame & feeling guilty causing you to slip back into old ways
Sure, this is a slippery road backwards
Remember a slight change in routine is not a bad thing, itโs how quickly you bounce back to what you know serves you better with your results that counts most
So please enjoy those yummy treats during the holidays, I certainly will be.
Without letting that feeling of worry or guilt creeping in, trust me unless it is negatively stopping your progress itโs not worth your energy for concern.
